While I didn't actually stay at the resort, I went there to rent kayaks, and I must say that it was quite the experience. Tyler, who was working alone that day, did a fantastic job considering the long wait times. The kayaks were fun to use, but seeing the shipwrecks was a bit tricky, and I think a paddleboard could be a better option for swimming. The resort is in the midst of renovations and seems to be promising for future stays.
I recently stayed at a resort in Tobermory and while the location is stunning, my experience was quite disappointing overall. The amenities advertised were largely absent, and I felt misled about the restaurant and water sports. The rooms were comfortable, but the lack of basic services affected my stay. If you're considering this as a relaxing getaway, be aware that things may not be as they seem.
I was really looking forward to my stay, but I was left quite disappointed. The rooms had the bare necessities and felt poorly maintained, and the lack of advertised amenities was frustrating. On the plus side, the room was spacious and renovated, which was nice.
We had a fantastic time at The Big Tub Harbor Resort! The location was perfect, right on the water and a short drive from town. The room was clean and comfortable, though we did have some noise from the floor above us. Overall, it was a great value for the amenities offered, and we appreciated the friendly and helpful service from Jennifer, the manager.
My stay at the resort was quite pleasant, with stunning views from the rooms and a perfect escape from the city hustle. I loved the mini fridge and the balcony, but there were a few drawbacks like the restaurant being closed and some cleaning supplies scattered around. Overall, it was a charming getaway with lovely service.
